Carefree Sunny Days

If someone had told me 3 years ago, at the end of 1st year that I’d have been training with some of the best Olympic, middle distance and Ironman Triathletes in the world. I probably wouldn’t have believed them. People change, grow and in most cases better themselves, I’m about to finish the most consistent block of training I have ever put together, and even I am starting to notices big changes in my attitude and performances.

These last couple weeks have been tough, my recovery week became more like a normal load week, I’ve never really been good at taking down time. It was good to have Coach Chris that week, got some pretty epic sessions done, including the mast run, 27km with 800m vertical climbing was a nice way to see off the week, some awesome views and sense of achievement at the top.

The sun is back, providing some decent open water swimming opportunities.

My tan lines are also coming along nicely for so early in the season! Here is one of my legs, the Garmin 310 XT outline of my wrist is improving as are my panda eyes from my vast array of Oakley sunglasses, but taking a picture of myself in the mirror?.. not really my style ha.

Hopefully over the next couple weeks I’ll have a race plan sorted for the coming season, some interesting plans.
